My monochrome photograph ‘Branches and Snow’ was placed in the top ten (out of over a hundred entries) in a ‘Winter’ competition in the ‘Photography Fun’ group on the redbubble site. This is its second success in competitions on the site.

My monochrome photograph ‘Branches and Snow’ was awarded second place in the ‘Snow and Ice’ challenge in the ‘No More Color’ group on the redbubble site.
‘Poppies’ placed third in IPA ’simply the best’ competition
My photographic image Poppies was placed third in the ‘Simply the Best’ competition of the International Photographer’s Alliance group on RedBubble.

Gold Label for Trees at Clint’s Crags
A print of this image was awarded a Gold Label by my United Photographic Postfolios Circle, scoring 44 points out of a maximum possible 50 points. It will be exhibited at the UPP 2009-10 exhibition next summer.

Speech & Drama Festival
Next Saturday is the Hornsea Speech and Drama Festival in East Yorkshire. Latest submission to UPP – Waterfall
This is my latest submission to the UPP circle I belong to.
It is a monochrome image of a waterfall in a small stream in the English Lake district. Originally a colour image from a digital camera, it has been reduced to a monochrome image.

Camera club annual competition
I’m putting together a submission for the local camera club’s annual competition. I’m planning to submit 3 digital images for projection and two monochrome prints.
(I used to be chairman of the club but resigned a couple of years ago.)

Capture Manchester competition
In line with my objectives this year, this is my entry for the 2009 Capture Manchester competition.
It hasn’t won any of the judges awards but will be exhibited with other submissions from 28th March to 18th April and is eligible for the public vote for the final award.
