class="meta-nav">&#8594;</span></a>]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the weather beginning to cool down I&#8217;ve been spending a little more time indoors and have created a few new artworks recently. With two exhibitions coming up this autumn it has also provided me with some motivation to pick up my brushes and focus on some new challenges.</p><p>These are two of my new ones. With &#8220;Dahlias&#8221; I wanted to add to my flower repetoire with a contemporary slant and with &#8220;Lake View&#8221; I wanted to go back to basics and set myself a challenge of creating a painting concentrating on tone and shade. This painting was created using just burnt umber and titanium white and was a fun exercise.<br
