Bilton Amateur Dramatic Society – latest production

Poster for Life Goes OnIn just over a week I will be taking to the stage again in my local amdram production. My role is that of a woman named Joyce, whose husband has just died. The play opens with the dead man apparently still alive, talking to the audience about his funeral. We then see events leading up to his sudden departure from this world, and eventually we discover why he has chosen to hang around for a while. Although it is a comedy, there are some very touching scenes in the play and I think the humour is well placed throughout. I always think that the production week comes upon us all too quickly and before too long it’s over, but I really enjoy the feeling backstage and on during the week. I will have to start looking for a play soon, as I am set to direct the next one!
