Chelmsford Arts Trail presents a free opportunity to view and buy an eclectic mix of artwork from both established artists and fresh new faces, including installations, textile art, sculpture, photography, painting, prints, illustration and ceramics. The trail is also showcasing the work of two Turner Prize winners, including a controversial Grayson Perry pot.
Local gallery Interior Angle, based in Wells Street, are acting as a central information hub and are hosting a collective exhibition in celebration of this year’s artists involved. Here, you will be able to see one piece displayed from each artist involved in the trail.
Developed and lead by Chelmsford Borough Council Arts Development, Interior Angle Gallery and Activate Visual Arts Group, this year brings many exciting additions to the trail. Fusing art with the community, the 2009 Arts Trail also features public art, open studio events, arts activities for all ages and an ‘Anonymous Postcard Art Sale’. The postcard Sale offers a chance for everyone to take home a little piece of this year’s trail for just £15!
